Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer

Reports To: Director, Operations



SUMMARY

Provide for the planning and implementation of projects, processes, methods and instructions for the manufacture of the organizations' products.



ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)

Develop and write detailed instructions for the manufacture of products. Analyze production data and look for trends indicating potential problems and develop solutions for potential problems. Provide process control systems in the form of instructions, standards, data collection and feedback loops. Utilize PCC toolbox such as; Lean Six Sigma in order to improve factory performance.



QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Four year degree in Engineering or Technology: including industrial, manufacturing or mechanical engineering. Must have the ability to reason and arrive at conclusions with minimum help and have basic understanding of statistics. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required, CAD software a plus.



LANGUAGE SKILLS

 Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blue prints and procedure manuals.

 Ability to write detailed reports, correspondence, and procedures.

 Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers in English.



MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

 Advanced math skills including Excel functions, statistical analysis, and trigonometry.



REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
